No Reader, No Problem: Elevator Access Solved with Kisi Mobile Control
Robinhood Foundation was looking to secure elevator access in their NYC office — but faced a unique constraint. The building's elevator policy prohibited the installation of dedicated readers inside the elevator cab that only one tenant could use.
To solve this, IDR deployed Kisi's mobile-access platform with elevator relay integration. Instead of mounting physical readers, IDR programmed Kisi to control elevator relays — allowing authorized users to select access floors from the Kisi mobile app without ever touching the elevator panel.
Key Results
• No reader installed — building policy fully respected
• Kisi relays activated to control elevator floor access
• App-based access provided for employees, vendors, and approved visitors
• No keys, no fobs, no hardware clutter — just secure, flexible access

A fully functional elevator access system with no hardware visible inside the elevator — and no compromise in control or security.
