MTF Biologics partnered with IDR to turn a large training space into a fully integrated Microsoft Teams meeting room. The space needed to support in-room presentation, remote participation, ceiling microphones, and zone-based audio — all while keeping audio clean and fully under user control.
What IDR Delivered:
• Audio System Design:
• • 3x Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphones for wide coverage
• • 1x podium microphone + wireless lavalier microphones
• • Bose DSP processor intelligently routes audio and suppresses feedback
• • When a mic is active, nearby speaker zones automatically mute
• • DSP prioritizes presenter microphones over other input channels
• • 70V ceiling speakers, powered by a Bosch 4-zone amplifier
• • Zones are independently controlled and assigned to mics

• Video + Display Strategy:
• • 4x 85" LG commercial displays (2 left, 2 right of the podium)
• • Using special media baluns, each pair of displays shows:
• • Left: remote attendee video feed
• • Right: presentation content from the in-room PC
•
• Podium + Infrastructure:
• • Podium customized to support tablet, PC, and mic connectivity
• • Floor is concrete slab — no trenching possible
• • IDR installed Legrand ConnectTrac with fanning kit, removed carpet section, and routed cables cleanly under floor to the podium
• • Custom podium grommets support clean cable entry and mounting

• Flexibility Beyond Teams:
• • Although Yealink is Teams-native, IDR coded additional flexibility to allow Zoom, Google Meet, and other platforms
• • System fully supports future conferencing platform transitions

• No mic feedback thanks to intelligent DSP zoning
• Presenters control everything from one intuitive touchscreen
